The KIET Main Campus, spread over 22 acres, is situated at KIET Korangi Creek, Karachi. It is located within 15-20 minutes drive from multiple points (Baloch Colony Overpass and FTC) on Shahrah-e-Faisal and is easily accessible. The educational complex at this campus has custom-built infrastructure that enables professional education in a peaceful environment. Purpose built building structures, open spaces and green lawns, and diversity of students creates a stimulating and lively campus environment.
The KIET City Campus is situated in Block-6 P.E.C.H.S at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. The location provides opportunity to working students for acquiring higher professional education during evenings and weekends.
KIET launched another campus in 2011 in North Nazimabad. Diversity of work experience of students creates a mature and professional environment with lively class discussions.Currently, there are over 4100 full time and part time students at KIET. All KIET’s Campuses are fully equipped with modern educational facilities including air-conditioned lecture rooms, computer labs, reading rooms, libraries, research centers in addition to the facilities of cafeterias and indoor and outdoor games.
Environment
Students of KIET have a number of opportunities to participate in extra co-curricular activities. These include dramatics, debates, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, musical functions and festivals. Such activities are organized by students’ societies under the guidance of patron faculty members and support of the administration. Students are encouraged to participate in tournaments of Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Soccer, etc.
The Institute promotes the environment of hard work, discipline, leadership and professionalism. There is a focus on providing quality facilities that students and parents desire and expect from an institution.
Academic Year
The academic year consists of Fall (September-January) and Spring (January-May) semesters each of approximately 18 weeks and a Summer (June-August) semester of 8 weeks. Full-time students take 5-6 courses in Fall and Spring semesters and upto 2 courses in the Summer semester.
Attendance Requirement
Rules and procedures are strictly followed at KIET. The Institute monitors the attendance rules strictly. Any student coming to class after the roll has been called, is marked absent. Maximum of 20% absences are allowed for emergencies. Students are automatically dropped from the course if their absences exceed the maximum limit.
