A Journey from Academia to Industry: A Visit to Lucky Textile Mills!
On May 6th, 2024, the students of Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET) participated in a mock interview preparation session at Lucky Textile Mills Limited, in collaboration with the HR department. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sajida Parveen, the PSD-2 class underwent CV preparation, interview practice, grooming, and personal development as part of their course outline. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, the students were then taken to Lucky Textile Mills Ltd for real-life assessments.
Before the mock interview session, the students received a briefing on industry practices and operations. Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Paracha, Advisor to the Management, graced the occasion, emphasizing the significance of personal development in the industry. Ms. Sidra Mahmood Jafri, Head of HR, provided valuable guidance to the students. Ms. Meerub Javed delivered a presentation on personal and professional development, with a focus on communication skills, attitude, and effective idea dissemination.
KIET extends its gratitude to Lucky Textile Mills Ltd for hosting this event.

As an integral part of the university curriculum, these visits aim to provide students with firsthand insights into the internal workings of companies.
